THE STORY SO FAR
The concept of Kreature itself is that it takes on no single form, identity, or gender because our inner demons and creativity and how we express what it looks like and means to us are unique to us all. The idea to portray Kreature as a shadowy, reaper-like figure was to personify a concept of something we all are familiar with that depicts our dark side that fuels our fears, doubts, and insecurities with a sense of doom in a raw "physical" form.
I wanted to take that concept and turn that into something that empowers us rather than discourages us - a reminder that we all have a shadow side that will challenge us but can also be something to embrace to find our strength, passion, and motivation for what drives us all to our most authentic form of expression and creativity - no matter what that means to you.

THE ARTIST
Art as always been a passion of mine since I picked up my first Spider-Man comic book and realized I admired the art more than the stories and that's what was really drawing my interest to them - the art concept to tell the story visually in a way that was captivating and compelling.
That inspiration to do the same never left me, and ended up becoming my choice for a college education, receiving a degree and several certificates for Digital Media, Animation & Illustration.

In my journey, I nearly gave up art altogether many times - between a sense of feeling like I wasted time chasing something impractical for a sustainable career, or in fear of having a passion turn into a chore for me. Something I still battle to this very day, always wondering if I'm doing the right thing that I want to really do in life - this is where the concept design of Kreature itself started to roam around in my head.
I like the concept of creating characters, and telling a story as much as I liked drawing. It brought me back to those roots of being that twelve-year old kid that remembered why I fell in love with Spider-Man and superheroes - they had a backstory that inspired them to be who they were and why they do what they do. That's when I knew - Kreature was a story waiting to happen; my story - your story - our story.
